Fáilte chuig an Roinn Froebel don Bhun- agus Luath-Oideachas a bhfuil cáil uirthi as taithí foghlama faoi leith a dhíríonn ar an mac léinn a chur ar fáil do mhic léinn fochéime agus iarchéime.  Ainmníodh an Roinn as an oideachasóir Gearmánach ón 19ú haois, Friedrich Froebel (1782-1852), an té a bhunaigh Kindergarten.  Mhol sé meas a léiriú don pháiste, foghlaim trí ghníomhaíocht, an timpeallacht a fhiosrú, sult a bhaint as gach cineál áilleachta agus glacadh le buanna gach duine aonair.
Is féidir leis an aistriú chuig oideachas tríú leibhéal a bheith dúshlánach do neart mac léinn. Mar sin féin, cinntíonn an tsamhail atá againne - grúpaí beaga a theagasc mar aon le baill foirne agus seirbhísí tacaíochta do mhic léinn a bheith ar fáil go héasca -  go mbíonn an deis is fearr is féidir ag gach mac léinn a c(h)umas a bhaint amach. Tá clú agus cáil orainn as eispéireas iomlánaíoch a chur ar fáil do mhic léinn. Dá bhrí sin, bíonn rátaí arda coinneála agus dul chun cinn againn.
 

Welcome to the Froebel Department of Primary and Early Childhood Education, known for the provision of a distinctive student-centred learning experience for undergraduate and postgraduate students. The Department is named after the 19th century German educator and founder of Kindergarten, Friedrich Froebel (1782-1852).  He advocated reverence for the child, learning through activity, exploration of the environment, enjoyment of beauty in all its manifestations and acceptance of the gifts of each individual.

For many students, the transition to third level education can be a challenging one; however our small group teaching model combined with ease of access to staff and student-support services ensures that every student has the best possible chance of success. We are renowned for the providing a holistic experience for students and it is for this reason that we have high levels of retention and progression.
